ICA is an independent, non-governmental association which unites, represents and serves co-operatives worldwide. Founded in 1895, ICA has 225 member organisations from 88 countries active in all sectors of the economy. Together these co-operatives represent more than 800 million individuals worldwide.
icanews.coop is a new service for the global co-operative community, providing a central resource for news by and about the co-operative movement.

icanews.coop draws together numerous sources of news and information covering the range of global co-operative enterprise, and in doing so provides a single point of access for this content. icanews.coop provides tools allowing you to access this information in a number of different ways, enabling you to quickly find the stories that interest you:

19th JUNE 2006

I am saddened that many Cooperators have not got to know about this facility as at yet. I hope that as time goes by that the entire Cooperative movement would be networked to this Web Site and I dream of the day that it will be the one and only newsletter of the entire cooperative fraternity.

Good view

Just like the PARAMASVARAN Kandiah's view, I am feeling so.
Every coop in the country must have their program to get information from ica. If necessary, countries federation convert the information in their own(language or others. Each coop organization must have their information unit.

SKV I certainly agree that if the visibility of this website increases, and the experts from all over the world find time to share their views and opinion, it will certainly provide a new direction to the ICA's agenda of strengthening the cooperative sector world over. It is an excellent communications tool which will enhance the reach of the cooperative sector,and will also enable the cooperators the world over to come together on a common platform.
